Habitat for Aviation at BETA’s Hiring Day
Abby Demar, Emma Cornett, Zoë Brosky, Kyra Becker, and Beth White attended BETA Technologies' Hiring Day in their brand new 40-acre manufacturing facility in South Burlington, VT.
We shared information about our initiatives, including the Women Build Planes program and handed out our hot-off-the-press SHERO postcard series, as well as our iconic Rosie Bandanas.
Abby got the chance to sit for an interview with one of BETA's engineers, which provided a great experience as well as an idea of what to work for in her last year of high school; and she and Kyra Becker got a chance to take BETA's electric eVTOL airplane, ALIA, for a virtual spin around BTV.
We were thrilled to be surrounded by other incredible non-profits, including the Vermont's chapter of Women in Aviation and EAA Chapter 613. It was a memorable day.
